A Stranded House By WHALE! Architects

Located in the coastal town of Tunquén, Chile, the three-bedroom residence overlooks an estuary that leads to the Pacific Ocean. Inspired by the motif of a stranded whale, the house was constructed from a series of pine wood frames, unified under one roof, which is described by the architects as “continuous and homogeneous, trapping in a single gesture the different moments of the house.”
