Autumnal Scenes Composed Of Millions Of Inked Dots

The piece, part of a series representing the four seasons, was created with a ‘stippling’ technique, using a 0,10mm nib and black ink to meticulously arrange millions of ink dots on paper, resulting in an intricate, detailed scene. Casalta studied visual communication before starting to work as an artist full-time. Speaking on his creative process, the artist says, “I started this project at the end of 2015 and it took me 370 hours to complete it. As I stipple at a speed of 5/8 dots per second, I estimate the amount of dots at about 7 million.”
