It’s a soft sulphate mineral which has been used by sculptors in the ancient Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Roman and Byzantine empires. Nowadays gypsum is used all over the world as a core component of drywall. Worley’s high-contrast pictures convey the rawness and purity of Colorado’s winter landscape.
