Structures Of Landscape At Montana’s Tippet Rise

“[Structures of landscape] resonate with the immensity, the roughness, the silence and the magic loneliness of the place.”Part sculpture, part shelter, the colossal sculpture was cast from the landscape itself, rising from the earth in a reconstruction of Montana’s geography. Speaking of the concept behind the project, Ensamble’s Antón García-Abril and Débora Mesa explain, “Structures of landscape enable habitation without exploitation, and intimate relationships with the environment. They resonate with the immensity, the roughness, the silence and the magic loneliness of the place, amplifying its values, and situate our actions in an ambiguous position between nature, architecture and art.”
