“A living room is surrounded by the sky on every side.”Built on a frame made from wood and steel, the 120 sqm home is finished in two tones of grey cladding, creating the illusion of a floating house. Inside, a window frieze between the first and second floor offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area from the wooden staircase. Guided by the intention to create a sense of openness while ensuring the residents’ privacy, the concept behind the house was “a “new openness” in densely built-up residential areas,” according to the architects. “A living room is surrounded by the sky on every side, and a resident doesn’t have to care about neighbors.
