Artist Katrin Korfmann is working in photography, videos and installations. Her focus is on the concept of framing, perspective, and the social dimensions of perception.
Her workplace are public places where she monitors social gatherings, rituals or events and takes pictures from unfamiliar perspectives, all in one spatial arrangement. Katrin Korfmann grew up in Berlin and lives and works in Amsterdam. She studied at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where she specialized in photography and continued her research at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and the Chinese European Art Centre in Xiamen, China.
