Maxence Dedry and Jean-Sylvain Tshilumba Mukendi created a photo series titled Les Mitrailleurs (The Soldiers) about N’djilian scrap men in Kinshasa, Congo.

The team walked around one of Kinshasa’s 24 boroughs in the scrap market talking with gentlemen whom seeked “opening a window on their everyday lives, realities, and dreams.” The photos are detailed with Congolese’s electrical and joint resistance; Dedry speaks for the photos, “There’s a history between N’djijians, resale, and mechanics.”
