Club Traube Is An Aesthetically Grand Concrete Wine Store In Germany

Co-owners Sabine Harms and Oliver Schmid worked in collaboration with Hippmann Architects and Projekt Triangle, a Stuttgart-based studio responsible for the interior design. Although primarily an event space, the building also represents the new headquarters for viDeli, an online wine retailer that sells artisanal European wines—who have called the venue “a new place for wine lovers”. ‘Club Traube’ is situated in Stuttgart’s old meat packing district, in a location between a car dealership, train lines, and the Gaskessel Stuttgart—the city’s one hundred-meter-high gas boiler. Due to these architectural challenges, the building’s concrete components were prefabricated off-site. The interior encompasses midcentury Modern furniture and minimal artwork, where workshops run during the day, and culinary wine tastings happen at night.
