From the exterior the building seems more industrial than welcoming; clad in corrugated iron it shimmers against the surrounding suburbia. Inside, the warmth begins. Completed in a light wood with metal finishes, the space is bright and open with areas delineated by a series of wooden pillars. The flexible floor plan was designed to ensure that the home could change according to the needs of a growing family. The home is structured over two levels that are split, so that the home is only 1.5 stories high. This has allowed the architects to utilize space above and below full-size rooms, creating half-height platforms and nooks for relaxing and sleeping.
