Intricate Details And Unexpected Forms At Celine’s Mount Street London Store

London-based architecture and interior design photographer Paul Riddle has shared his images of the second concept store in London for French fashion house ‘Celine’. The design followed the visual language delineated by a decade of former director Phoebe Philo’s creative direction; a store centering color, texture, contrast, and clean lines.
Celine’s large space, juxtaposing different textures and angles, is demarcated by intersecting partition walls, load-bearing steel beams, and a translucent, rose-pink resin screen. Not without color and unexpected forms, the distinct floor incorporates eight different types of marble interlaced with handmade glass and semi-precious stones, creating patterns with fluctuating hues and intensities across the store. To further reflect Celine’s dedication to tastefulness and artisanal design, artistic details were implemented as part of a collaboration with Danish artist FOS, also known as Thomas Poulsen—including cast-iron door handles, gold floor lamps, a concrete seat, a chandelier, a steel table, and free standing mirrors.
