A Corrugated Coffee Table By Louie Rigano

Scroll

London-based designer Louie Rigano created a coffee table consisting of two parts with corrugated surfaces, each made from a different material, yet fitting together perfectly.

“The Interface Table explores a way in which two typically distinct flat surfaces can interface both visually and physically.” The base is made of fiberglass, while the table top consists of a wooden tray. According to the designer, he was inspired by concrete floors, which are often strengthened using corrugated material.

Speaking of the idea behind the design, Rigano says: “The Interface Table explores a way in which two typically distinct flat surfaces can interface both visually and physically. […] This interface of tray and tabletop speaks to the traditional application of corrugated sheeting in construction.” For more tables, take a look at our shop.
