In his latest work, Anders Brasch-Willumsen moves away from interiors: In a series of 3D renderings appropriately titled ‘Digibana’, the Swedish art director has created floral arrangements of the future.

“I like to think of this project as a futuristic ikebana practice”, Brasch-Willumsen explains, “where moments of beauty are created and preserved only by a constant stream of likes and shares”. In ‘Digibana’, minimal arrangements of flowers—white anthuriums, palm fans, violet-blue orchids, eucalypt and coral berries—are the visual highlight. Set amidst Brasch-Willumsen’s trademark interiors—artfully designed and decadent despite their minimalism—these sculptural floral compositions offer a non-organic way to experience the art of flower arrangement.

Brasch-Willumsen heads up Studio Brasch, a creative team whose work in the field of 3D design offers a vision of the future that is both surreal and human in its form. In previous works featured on IGNANT, Brasch-Willumsen has delved into a space beyond consciousness, rendering a world inspired by lucid dreaming; and has taken the Japanese art movement Mono-ha and translated its combination of man-made and natural materials into digital visuals.
