Taking cues from the materiality and form of the now ubiquitous Ray and Charles Eames design, 97cm questions the relationship between mass-produced goods and highly individual custom-designs. “‘Juxtaposition’ thus connects industrial production and determinism with the volatility and open-endedness of the artist’s craft”, they said.
