The house takes its rectilinear form via a series of separated timber volumes, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls that allow nature to run throughout the rooms. These volumes comprise the living, dining, and sleeping areas, each with tranquil and uninterrupted views. “To enter the pine forest is to enter the house,” explains Dahan. The site itself is integral to the architecture—the pine and oak trees provide shelter from strong winds and are the primary material for the home’s construction. The villa embodies the residents’ genuine connection to nature by creating an intimate atmosphere that blends the built and natural environments together. “The ocean, though not visible, is so close that the sound of the surf rhythms the day,” adds Dahan.
