In Saint-Paul-De-Vence in the south of France, the newly opened Fondation CAB is a museum and guesthouse offering artist residencies and a unique display of minimalist and conceptual art in a stunning 1950s building.

Originally founded in 2012 in Brussels, Belgium, by collector Huber Bonnet, the new and second venue of CAB is located a few steps from the Maeght Foundation, home to one of the largest collections of modern art in the world, and is to become a major player in the contemporary art circuit in the region. Housed in a renovated gallery, the foundation has been refurbished by French interior architect and designer Charles Zana. Surrounded by a lush garden with views on the Cap d’Antibes peninsula, the building offers visitors a full art experience with several exhibitions spaces, a bookstore, a restaurant, four distinct guest rooms, as well as one of Jean Prouvé iconic 6×6 meter on-site-built temporary living structures, known as demountable houses. Paying tribute to French and international architects of the 20th century, each bedroom is curated with meaningful and charming interiors and features furniture and lighting by Alvar Aalto, Angelo Lelli, Max Ingrand, and Hans J. Wegner, to name a few. On the walls, contemporary works by Julien Saudubray, Sarah Smolders, and Peter Downsbrough add elegance and sophistication to the space, making for an unforgettable stay.
